Mobilization Efforts

“Walk. Knock. Talk. Because doors win wars.”

~ Steve Williams

Why This Work Matters

Across California’s 66th Assembly District, 116 local offices shape the direction of our communities. These positions include city councils, school boards, and special districts responsible for health and infrastructure.

Decisions made by these offices affect daily life across the South Bay.

Yet despite the importance of these roles, political competition across many of these offices has weakened over time. When elections become less competitive, accountability declines and communities are left with fewer meaningful choices at the ballot box.

Today, the party affiliation of the 116 elected officials across the district reflects that imbalance:

Restoring balance requires organization, volunteers, and sustained community engagement.

CSAD66 is committed to expanding civic participation and supporting competitive candidates across the South Bay by organizing voters, recruiting volunteers, and building the infrastructure needed to mobilize communities.

Below are the campaigns where these mobilization efforts are now underway.

VOTER ID

Yes On Voter ID

The California voter identification ballot measure will appear on the November 2026 ballot, giving Californians the opportunity to decide whether voter identification requirements should be added to the state’s election process.

More than 1.3 million signatures were collected, exceeding the 874,641 valid signatures required to qualify the measure for the ballot and demonstrating significant public interest in the proposal.

CSAD66 is mobilizing volunteers across the South Bay to engage voters and help deliver a Yes on Voter ID this November.

Mobilization efforts include:

  • Volunteer recruitment and neighborhood canvassing
  • Community outreach and voter education
  • Voter information distribution
  • Grassroots engagement to increase voter participation

Upon its passage, the measure will require voters to present a government-issued photo ID when voting in person and provide identifying information when voting by mail. It will also require election officials to verify voter eligibility and provide free identification cards for voters who need them.

Get involved and join the CSAD66 movement.
