2026 General Election
Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
From city halls and school boards to special districts and statewide ballot measures, the 2026 General Election will shape the future of communities across the South Bay.
Across California’s 66th Assembly District, voters will choose over 40 local leaders who make decisions affecting public safety, education, housing, infrastructure, local services, and quality of life in our communities.
These races matter because local government is where many of the decisions closest to daily life are made and where accountability begins.
CSAD66 is tracking key local offices, candidate opportunities, and ballot measures across the district so voters, volunteers, and community leaders can stay informed, get involved, and help restore political competition across the South Bay.

Ballot Measures That Matter
Yes On 39
The California voter identification ballot measure will appear on the November 2026 ballot, giving Californians the opportunity to decide whether voter identification requirements should be added to the state’s election process.
More than 1.3 million signatures were collected, exceeding the 874,641 valid signatures required to qualify the measure for the ballot and demonstrating significant public interest in the proposal.
CSAD66 is mobilizing volunteers across the South Bay to engage voters and help deliver a Yes On 39 this November.
Mobilization efforts include:
- Volunteer recruitment and neighborhood canvassing
- Community outreach and voter education
- Voter information distribution
- Grassroots engagement to increase voter participation
Upon its passage, the measure will require voters to present a government-issued photo ID when voting in person and provide identifying information when voting by mail. It will also require election officials to verify voter eligibility and provide free identification cards for voters who need them.
